Ruby leaving his dog Sheba in the car may be more significant than people think. Ruby was apparently crazy about his dogs and Sheba was his favorite. In fact, Ruby said Sheba was his "wife." If Ruby was part of a conspiracy and had plans to silence Oswald by killing him, it's hard to believe he would simply abandon his beloved Sheba in his car.
So Oswald delayed the proceedings with the shirt/sweater business to allow Ruby time to get down there and kill him. Makes about as much sense as any other conspiracy theory re the assassination. Things have to line up, and they do in “Case Closed”
